A289 Gillingham Relief Road

The A289 Gillingham Relief Road runs east of Gillingham town centre passing under the railway line and then goes north of the town centre to link with the Medway Tunnel.

Construction completed in 2002. Can be found on Ordnance Survey Landranger Map 178. See location on map and aerial photo.

This photo shows part of a playing field off Cornwallis Avenue in 1995.	The view in 2005. The A289 now goes through part of what was a playing field and a roundabout has been constructed where the A289 meets Cornwallis Avenue.
